A Kent shopkeeper suffered a nasty head injury when he was struck by a belt buckle after asking a gang of disruptive men to leave his premises.
Police say the man was the victim of "an unprovoked attack" and was "simply defending his livelihood".
The assault happened at around 9.30pm on Friday at the Leysdown Mini-Mart in Leysdown on Sheppey.
A group group of about 20 men entered the store and started causing damage. The shopkeeper was attacked when he asked them to leave. Paramedics treated him at the scene.
The suspect is white, of skinny build, about 17-years-old, with short black hair and a small moustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt.
