Halloween turns to horror as trick or treating youngsters given heart

Four young children were left horrified when they went trick-or-treating on Halloween - and were given a lamb's heart.

The excited youngsters, aged between 10 and 12, had dressed up in costumes to knock on neighbours' doors in Orpington.

But their fun turned to horror when a woman answered her door and gave them a real lamb's heart wrapped in a plastic bag.

The children took the bloody organ home and the father of two of the little girls said: "Sick world we live in.

"Next year my kids will remain home where I know they are safe.

"The heart itself has now been disposed - the foxes had a good meal last night."

The dad, who asked not to be named, decided against calling police to investigate the woman who had taken the Halloween horror theme too far.

He added: "One of my other neighbours was given some mince (raw) but they were okay with that and enjoyed the show this woman put on."
