A YOUNG offender who absconded from custody in the county has since been seen making off on a motorcycle, police have revealed.
The 14-year-old escaped when he was being transferred from Medway Secure Training Centre in Rochester on Friday morning.
Kent Police say he was seen later that day in north London.
A spokesman said on Saturday: "He was seen making off on a motorcycle in Camden. The search for him is continuing."
No other details have yet emerged of the sighting or even whether the boy was riding the motorcycle or a pillion passenger.
The teenager absconded outside the Medway children's jail as he was being tranferred to another secure unit in Bristol at about 10.20am.
Police searched the area with dogs and a helicopter. Buses and trains were also stopped and searched.
