Families had a close look at creatures including a Burmese python, a bearded dragon and a chameleon.
The wriggly reptiles were brought in to New Brompton College (NBC), Gillingham as part of its family learning day.
Handler Stephen Still spoke about the reptiles and their habitats and allowed those who were brave enough to hold or pet the creatures.
A creative clay workshop saw families making clay animals which they painted and took home at the end of the day.
There was also a family karate workshop for those interested in martial arts.
Jo Price, trust and community manager at NBC, said: “The event was organised as part of Adult Learners Week which is a national initiative.
“At NBC we have a vibrant family and adult learning programme which runs during the week after school. However, many families have at least one parent working so they are unable to make some of the courses held on weekdays.
“By holding this event at the weekend it meant that people who can’t be here during the week could come along and engage as a family together.”
