Alan Julian became the second Gillingham keeper in as many months to be involved in a car accident – but thankfully walked away unscathed.
In December fellow keeper Simon Royce suffered neck, back and knee injuries after crashing his vehicle.
Julian was one of many people who slipped on the ice in his car during last week’s snow.
"What is it with goalkeepers and cars?" he said. "It was nothing special as I was only doing about five or six miles an hour.
"It was crazy. We had a day off and so I was going over to see my nephew to help build a snowman but I lost control of the car and banged it against the kerb.
"It’s a BMW so unfortunately it’s going to be expensive to mend."
Julian, from Ashford in Middlesex, has had the No.1 spot at Gillingham ever since Royce had his smash. He’s just desperate to get back to action now after three successive postponements.
He said: "I’m fine – it’s cool. I’ve got another car now and so I can still get to training so that hasn’t affected anything.
"I’ve never known snow like it and it’s getting a bit frustrating now. We just want to play some football."
