TWO new models have been added to Suzuki’s 4x4 range. They are the Special Edition Jimny O2 soft top and the five-seat Grand Vitara XL-7.
According to the company, the young, fashionable looks of the well-equipped Jimny 4x4 soft top are further enhanced on the new Jimny O2 Special Edition by alloy wheels, front fog lamps, special two-tone metallic paint finish and distinctive badging, and a radio/CD player.
Even with the inclusion of this additional equipment, the car’s maximum on-the-road price is £10,495.
Launched in the UK in August 2001, the seven-seat Grand Vitara XL-7 has formidable off road abilities as well as all of the load carrying advantages of a large estate car and, with its third row of seats, the passenger-carrying flexibility of an MPV.
Now the new XL-7 is available in a new configuration without the third row of seats to provide one of the largest load and luggage capacities in its class.
Even with the rear seats in their upright position, this load space totals 900 litres while, with the rear seats folded flat, capacity increases top 1,687 litres. For security, a removable roller blind type luggage cover for use when the rear seats are in their upright position, is standard.
Maximum on-the-road prices are £18,995 for the five-speed manual model and £19,945 for the four-speed automatic.
The addition of the Jimny O2 and the five-seat XL-7 to the Suzuki range adds to Suzuki’s comprehensive 4x4 line-up of eight distinctive models.
