Staff at a Margate catering firm were evacuated this morning following a small kitchen fire.

Pumps from Thanet and Margate fire stations were called to the premises on Dane Valley Road just before 8am.

The blaze is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in one of the ovens.

Staff were allowed to return to work once firefighters were happy the building was safe.
