Kent have confirmed that Steffan Jones will return to Somerset this week after completing his month's loan.

The 35-year-old Welshman was signed at the start of the season to boost the county's depleted bowling ranks, following injuries to Robbie Joseph, Martin Saggers and Simon Cook.

Coach Simon Willis said: "Steffan has been fantastic in the dressing room, he has given 100 per cent and more, and we thank him for his contribution.

"Likewise I think Somerset have got a few injuries, so he will probably get some opportunities down there."

Meanwhile, Darren Stevens could be out for up to a month after breaking an index finger against Glamorgan last week.
