A sought-after film poster of Lord of the Rings signed by the whole cast is among memorabilia and other personal belongings of Canterbury-born star Orlando Bloom, which are being auctioned off in the city for local charities.
They are being sold by his mother Sonia Copeland-Bloom, who is having a clear-out in preparation for moving out of her city centre home.
Among the more interesting items of clothing is a Bodyline wet suit which Orlando wore while surfing with the Hobbits in New Zealand, in between filming the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Other desirable objects include a Lord of the Rings poster signed by the Hobbits, boots Orlando wore while filming Lord of the Rings and Moroccan slippers he wore in Kingdom of Heaven.
Mrs Copeland-Bloom said: "I have spoken to Orlando who is quite happy for me to get as much as I can for charity. There are some real collectors’ items among them and they will all be authenticated by me by letter.
"We are inviting people to send us bids of which the top ones will be invited to view the items before submitting a further sealed bid.
"They should be sent to my secretary, Jo Walker, at 6 St Alphege Lane, Canterbury, CT1 2EB or emailed to scjc1@btinternet.com"
