NISSAN has revised the Micra range and added two new models, the Tempest and Twister.
Following customer reaction to the Activ special edition with standard ultrasonic rear parking sensors, which make reverse parking more of a miss than a hit affair, Nissan has added rear parking sensors to more than half of the Micra range.
Both the Tempest and Twister pick up where the Activ left off and feature Oxygen blue interior trim and full colour coded exterior. Prices start from £7,495 for a 1.0-litre three-door rising to £8,945 for a five-door with CVT transmission.
For an extra £400, the Twister adds RPS, air conditioning in lieu of sunroof and front electric windows. It comes with a choice of 1.0 or 1.4-litre engines and three or five doors with prices starting at £7,895 for the 1.0-litre three-door rising to £9,890 for the 1.4-litre five-door with CVT transmission.
Customers splashing out for a Tempest or a Twister before the end of March will also get a year’s free insurance. The SE has more than £700 worth of extra spec including RPS, passenger airbag, tilt and slide sunroof, body coloured door mirrors and a six-speaker single slot CD/radio. It comes with either 1.0 or 1.4-litre engines, with prices starting at £8,595.
The range topping SE+ is available as a 1.4-litre five-door only with a choice of manual or CVT transmissions. It gains £1,100 of extra spec including RPS, side airbags, front fog lamps, body coloured exterior features including rear roof spoiler, leather steering wheel and electric mirrors. Prices now start at £10,995.
