A strong Gillingham team will head to Ryman League side Folkestone on Monday night.

Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler has agreed to send a team to play in a benefit match for Folkestone’s long-serving assistant manager Micky Dix.

Hessenthaler, at 46, could even appear himself in the game at the Buzzlines Stadium alongside first team players Rowan Vine (pictured), Simon King and Danny Spiller.

The Gills manager said: "We will take quite a strong team there. Hopefully he will get a decent crowd and make a bit of money.

"People like Rowan Vine (pictured), Kingy and Spiller will have some minutes in their legs along with some of the younger ones."

The game kicks off at 7.45pm with a £5 entry fee.
