Gillingham midfielder Stuart Lewis is keen to forget about Fulham and concentrate on beating Accrington Stanley first.
Premier League opposition await the winners of the FA Cup third round tie between Gills and Accrington on Tuesday, January 19, but Lewis, pictured, said: "We don’t want to look too far ahead but we know what a massive tie awaits.
"It’s hard not to think about Fulham but we can’t let that get into our minds. We need to approach the next round in the correct manner.
"In the short time I’ve been at the club, we’ve had quite a few big games, with the play-offs and facing Premier League sides in the cup competitions. As players that’s what you want.
"The fans always make a great atmosphere in those games as well but we can’t look too far ahead. Let’s get the Accrington job done first."
Lewis was part of the team which had to beat Stockport last season in round two, with both teams knowing that Aston Villa awaited the winners.
It was a successful evening that night and the midfielder wants a repeat showing.
He added: "Our experience against Stockport and then Villa should hold us in good stead. As a player, that Villa game was one of the best in my career."
