Stuart Murdoch has been added to Gillingham’s back-room staff to coach the club’s first team goalkeepers.

Gills boss Andy Hessenthaler has moved to appoint the former Wimbledon and MK Dons manager, who will take sessions with keepers Alan Julian (pictured) and Lance Cronin twice a week.

He will also put the pair through their paces during pre-match warm-ups.

Murdoch recently performed the same role with Norwich and Southampton.

Do you think Murdoch's appointment will help improve Gillingham's defensive record? Have your say below.
