Student becomes another victim of killer road

A NIGHT out for five friends ended in tragedy after they crashed on their way back to college.

Perri McIlwraith, 17, lost her life after the crash on the A26, near South Lodge Bend in Tonbridge Road, Teston, at about 1.30am, on Wednesday.

They were all on their way back, from a night out at a Maidstone nightclub, to Hadlow College, where Perri was a student.

All five were taken to Maidstone Hospital but Perri later died.

Her death is the sixth to happen on the same stretch of road since 2004.

The Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for information about the accident. Call 01622 798538 if you can help.
