Dozens of students at Hereson School for Boys in Ramsgate have been encouraged to achieve their goals by a new mentoring scheme.
In the past year nearly 50 pupils took part in one-to-one support sessions and revision skills seminars and also received help tackling motivation, timekeeping and behaviour issues.
The school says the programme, funded by the Aimhigher Kent and Medway partnership, is helping youngsters achieve better GCSE grades and continue their education at college and university.
Tony Hamson, headteacher, said: “We believe in nurturing the potential in all our students and helping them to achieve their individual goals. We’re absolutely delighted that the students have done so well.”
