Full pricing details have been announced for the eagerly-awaited Subaru BRZ sports car, with on-the-road prices set to start at £24,995.
It will be built in two model variants, SE and SE Lux, with two gearbox options. A six-speed manual will give the most driver involvement but a six-speed automatic reduces CO2 emissions significantly - for a £1,500 premium.
The price difference between the two trim levels is also £1,500, making a manual SE Lux the same price as an automatic SE. The most expensive model, the automatic SE Lux, is £27,995.
Both the SE and SE Lux will come equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, a torque-sensing limited slip differential and fully automatic air conditioning with dual-zone controls.
The SE and SE Lux also feature electrically-folding door mirrors with heaters, keyless entry with push-button engine start, leather-trimmed steering wheel, parking brake and gearshift lever and a high-quality six-speaker audio system with CD, radio and iPod connectivity.
SE Lux models will be separated by their leather upholstery, but that's it, making the entry-level manual SE look like the best value for keen drivers.
Subaru is also including its `Everything Taken Care Of' (ETCo) aftermarket care package as standard.
At no additional cost, Subaru ETCo covers minor dent and scratch repairs, alloy wheel repairs, monthly wash, annual valet, lost keys replacement, service collection and delivery, annual wheel alignment check, first MOT cover and winter wheel and tyre storage, as well as providing an accident management service and a contribution to insurance cover excess.
The scheme is offered in addition to Subaru's three-year/60,000-mile manufacturer warranty.
