The wife of Kent Conservative politician Michael Howard is publishing her third novel next week - and has revealed sunny travel plans for when her husband steps down as MP.
Sandra Howard, 68, speaking at her home near Lympne before the publication of A Matter of Loyalty, said: "In parliamentary life, going away at times other than August has not been terribly easy.
"I long to go to the Galapagos Islands and I have never been to the pyramids. And I would also love to go to the Andes. However much you have seen, there is so much more out there."
The mother-of-three, who worked as a successful model over three decades, has now written three novels in the last four years.
