She said: “I made it all up myself, once
I started the legs I just had to do the rest. It would have looked
silly having a little body on big legs. So I just had to carry
on.

"When I was sewing him up I had him laid
across the table and chairs.

"I had to keep my curtains pulled because
people would think I've gone mad."

Now Jamie and his mum Shelley West have vowed
to do their bit by taking the Giant Knitted Super Man on a charity
walk to raise funds for Five Acre Wood School, Maidstone, where
Jamie’s brother Owen, six, is a pupil.
