A GROUP offering support to victims of racial attacks in the Medway area relaunches on Friday.

Judith Armitt, chief executive of Medway Council, will help relaunch Medway Action Against Racial Attacks at the St George’s Centre in Chatham Maritime at 7pm.

The group, which was originally formed in 1997, monitors racial attacks in Medway and offers support and advice to victims of abuse.

Chairman Dai Liyanage said: “We want more people to know we exist and that they need to report attacks.”
