Suspect quizzed over teen sex attack in Herne Bay toilets

A man has been arrested after an alleged toilet block sex attack on a teen, police revealed today.

Police are now searching for four people who used the toilets in Herne Bay and might have seen what happened.

It follows a report that the boy, aged 16, was attacked in the William Street block between 4pm and 5pm on November 2.

Detective Inspector Richard Vickery, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our inquiries have revealed that four people used the toilets between the times that the alleged offence was reported to have occurred.

"These people are likely to have important information that will assist this inquiry and we would like to hear from them."

A 42-year-old suspect, from Colne, in Lancashire, is currently on police bail while investigations continue.
