TWELVE suspected illegal immigrants have been detained after they were discovered in the back of a lorry on a Kent motorway.

The lorry was stopped after motorists stuck in slow traffic on the M20 London-bound heard banging coming from inside.

Police were called to junction five, Aylesford, and found 12 people in the lorry.

All 12 have been sent to an immigration centre in Dover where an investigation will be carried out.
