Suzuki will be bringing its full range of cars and SUVs to The Sunday Times Motor Show Live at Birmingham’s NEC which runs until June 6.
As well as two fascinating concepts - including the car that provides a pointer to the appearance of the new Suzuki Swift to be launched later this year - visitors will be able to see the latest Ignis three-door reintroduced by Suzuki following popular demand.
The Ignis three-door is designed for life in the city and is just £7,499 on the road. The Ignis three-door specification reflects the increased equipment levels introduced across the complete Suzuki range at no extra cost, and all models now feature a radio/CD player, driver and passenger front airbags and ABS anti-lock braking with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution as standard.
The first of Suzuki’s two concept cars at the show is designed to offer a new approach to urban mobility. Aimed at young drivers, the lightweight S-RIDE builds on Suzuki’s sports bike heritage to combine the fun of a motorcycle with car convenience.
The exciting Concept-S is one of a series of study models that forms the basis of the next Suzuki Swift supermini. This will make its world debut towards the end of the year and will be manufactured by Magyar Suzuki in Hungary.
Exploiting to the full feedback from its Junior World Rally Championship participation, Concept-S is a truly sporting package that features an all-aluminium 1.6 litre DOHC (four-cylinder, 16-valve) engine.
The show offers visitors their first chance to see the face-lifted Liana sedan and hatchback models with their completely revised interior.
Elsewhere in the Suzuki car range, the versatile Wagon R+ has proved immensely popular with UK customers, and new for 2004 are revised front end styling, interior trim and a new 1.3 litre VVT-i engine.
The 1.1 litre Alto continues to provide practical, low cost motoring allied to an extensive equipment list.
