SPORTS stars will be mixing with shoppers at a Kent shopping centre this weekend.
Table tennis junior England squad members Harry Lumb and siblings Kirsty, Ross and Katie Wilson will be showing off their talents in the foodcourt of the Dockside Shopping Centre, Chatham Maritime between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.
Shoppers will also be encouraged to have a go at the sport and take away information about next month's Medway Open tournament and local table tennis opportunities.
The event comes a week ahead of the two-day Medway Open Butterfly Grand Prix series taking place at the Black Lion Leisure Centre, Gillingham, starting Saturday, December 1.
Organisers hope this weekend's event will encourage more people to watch the free tournament and get involved in table tennis.
There are further sports development activities planned for Friday, November 30, including school coaching sessions and local club master classes in the afternoon.
Members of the public are also invited to have a go on the competition tables under the watchful eye of expert local and national players and coaches.
Simply drop in to the main hall of the leisure centre in Mill Road, Gillingham, from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday, November 30.
