The eyes of all Labour MPs in Kent were on Gordon Brown today as he delivered his 'make or break' speech at the Labour conference.

The prime minister spoke of the need for Labour to concentrate on the problems facing the country rather than internal squabbles when he took to the stage in Manchester.

His performance was likely to be pivotal to the future of Labour MPs across the country, as he attempted to reinstate the nation's faith in the party amid the current dire economic climate.
