A former Dartford Grammar School teacher abused a young boy almost 30 years ago, a court heard today Friday.
Brian Fagg, 70, of Hallford Way, Dartford, taught biology at the Shepherd's Lane school. He is also believed to have been a coach at running club Dartford Harriers.
Maidstone Crown Court heard he asked the boy to remove his lower clothing. Prosecutor Caroline Knight said Fagg did the same and there was mutual touching between them.
Fagg pleaded guilty to indecent assault on a male person between January 1979 and December 1982.
Mark Dacey, defending, told the court the indecent assault was a "one-off incident" and sentence was adjourned for probation reports.
Fagg, who was said in court to have been teaching and coaching children "for many years", was released on bail.
He must now sign on the sex offenders' register and is also likely to be banned from working with children when he returns to court.
Adjourning sentence, Judge Philip Statman warned the pensioner: "I want to make it absolutely clear to you that I am giving you no indication by directing reports to be prepared as to the eventual outcome."
