THE Kent Messenger Group is aiming to break the record for the biggest charity quiz night ever held in the county and is inviting readers to enter teams.Tickets for Big Quiz 2008 are now on sale and are expected to sell out fast, so quiz-goers are advised to get their teams organised as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment.The quiz will take place at the Black Lion Leisure Centre, Mill Road, Gillingham at 7pm on Friday, June 6. Tickets can be bought using the application form published in the Medway Messenger print editions each Monday and Friday or through the website www.kmbigquiz.co.uk Cash raised at the event will be shared between the CLIC Sargent children’s cancer charity, the Mayor of Medway Charity Appeal, children’s road safety charity Kent and Medway Walking Bus Group and church supported cause Hope08. The cost for a table of eight people is £56, which is £7 per person. The ticket price includes a ploughman’s meal and a glass of wine provided by ASDA, Chatham.A number of sponsors have already agreed to support the KM Big Quiz with the Black Lion Leisure Centre providing the venue at a substantial discount and P&O Ferries donating vouchers for all eight members of the winning team to take a car and up to nine passengers to France for an extended trip. Shepherd Neame will run the Spitfire Charity Bar and St Paul’s Church, Parkwood will create the ploughman’s meals.
