The case against a teenager accused of attempting to grab the Olympic torch in Gravesend has been adjourned.
The 17-year-old appeared at Dartford Youth Court this morning charged with common assault, assaulting a police officer and a public order offence.
Magistrates adjourned the case until Tuesday, August 14.
The teen was released on bail ahead of the hearing.
Magistrates had already imposed three conditions on the Gravesend youngster: that he not intentionally be present at any Olympic or Paralympic Games; that he lives and sleeps at his home and that he complies with the Young Offending Team.
It follows the dramatic flashpoint as the convoy entered the town on Friday.

A bystander dashed from the crowds and attempted to snatch the flame from Polish torchbearer Anna Skora.
The young man was quickly grappled away by Olympic officials running alongside the convoy.
