Teen due in court over robberies on trains

A teenager has been charged over a series of robberies on trains through Medway.

Sino Poinsaumy, of Humber Crescent, Strood, is accused of robbery by British Transport Police investigating a string of attacks on the north Kent railway line.

The 19-year-old was due to appear at Bexley Magistrates' Court today in connection with incidents between August 24 and September 8.

Another man and a boy arrested over the robberies after a police appeal for information have been released on bail.

A 19-year-old man, from Chatham, was bailed until Friday, October 8, and a 17-year-old boy, also from Chatham, until Wednesday, October 13.
