A 15-YEAR-OLD schoolboy from Thanet is critically ill in a London hospital with serious head injuries after his pedal cycle was in collision with a car.

The teenager, from Margate, was riding along Dane Court Road, Margate, towards Broadstairs at about 4.45pm yesterday when he collided with an Audi TT driven by a woman from Broadstairs.

He was taken to Margate's Queen Mother Hospital but tater transferred to a hospital in Wimbledon.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Neil Carroll on 01843 222124.
