Love pest Leigh Moxam is behind bars - because he can't stay away from a former sweetheart.

The 19-year-old had been ordered by a court to stay clear of ex-girlfriend Rachel Bramhall.

But the smitten teenager breached the restraining order FOUR times - including turning up at her Margate flat in the early hours throwing stones at her window.

Now a judge at Canterbury Crown Court has admitted he felt sorry for the crack cocaine addict, but then sent him to a young offenders' institute for 14 months.

Moxam, who has no fixed address, was arrested in February after Ms Bramhall complained about the stone-throwing incident.

Alastair Keith, prosecuting, told how East Kent magistrates had granted the order for him to stay away in September 2010.

Moxam was told not to go to any address where she was living and not to contact her.

Mr Keith said: "In February the defendant went to where she was living and at 12.30am she was in bed and was woken up hearing stones being thrown at her bedroom window. That noise then moved to the hallway window and to her daughter's bedroom window.

"An hour later she heard this defendant outside shouting: 'What are you doing? Get the Feds!'. She looked out of the window and saw him with his arms outstretched."

Mr Keith added that after being arrested, Moxam claimed he had been invited to the house by Ms Bramhall earlier in the day "to have sex with her and then he left after having a cigarette".

Ms Bramhall told police: "I don't know how he found out where I was but I don't not want me or my daughter to become prisoners in our own house."

The court heard Moxam had breached the restraining order four times - and had also ignored community and supervision orders for other offences.

Ian Foinette, defending, said the teenager, who admitted the breach, had a £60-a-day heroin and crack cocaine habit.

He said: "It is the same miserable, desperate story which courts hear countless times."

Mr Foinette said Moxam was spotted with his outstretched arms because he wanted to re-kindle the relationship.

Judge James O'Mahony told Moxam: "It is utterly depressing that at 19 you have an appalling and extraordinary (criminal) record.

"I feel sorry for you because the drugs have made you psychotic, but you have shown a flagrant disregard for all court orders and the court must now say enough is enough."
