An investigation is underway after a teenager was assaulted and robbed in Broadstairs.

The attack took place in Pierremont Park at around 9pm on Saturday.

The 15 year-old boy was with some friends when they were approached by four or five men.

It is alleged one of the gang appeared to have a gun.

The teenager was assaulted and had his iPod and mobile phone taken.

Police were called to the area to carry out a search for the suspects and their enquiries are continuing.
