AN INVESTIGATION is under way after police found a 19-year-old man lying on the pavement on Marine Terrace at Margate.

It is thought he had been attacked by three men armed with a bottle. He was treated at the town’s Queen Mother hospital for a head injury.

He was found at 1pm on Saturday and any witnesses to the assault are asked to contact Thanet police on 01843 231055.

A police spokeswoman said attackers were in their late teens. One wore a black shirt and another, a white top.
