BRITISH Transport Police say a girl of 15 has been sexually assaulted on a train in Kent.

The victim had been approached by three men after boarding a train from Gillingham to Gravesend at about 8.15pm on Sunday.

One of the offenders is described as black and thought to be aged 18 or 19. He is about 5ft 5in tall and was wearing a black coat with fur on the hood and jeans. His hair was in two braids.

A second offender was white, of the same age with a black woolly hat. The third was black with his hair in small twists. He was also wearing dark clothing.

The three men had with them a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Det Con Lea Parker, from the British Transport Police, said: "We are appealing for anyone who was on the train or who may know the three youths involved in the assault to contact us."
