Having lived in their previous home for 34 years, when Terry and Lynne Allen decided they needed a change of scene they were determined to move to nothing short of their dream home.
Top of their list of requirements was a new home which would be easy to maintain and was situated within a friendly community and they found what they were looking for at Crest Nicholson’s Liberty Park development in Wainscott.
Terry, 56, said: “After so many years, moving home was a real wrench – we had to make sure it was to the right place.
“We had no intention of moving again; we really did our homework and shopped around as we had to be 100% sure that we were doing the right thing and moving to the best possible property which would suit our needs for the rest of our lives.
“We only considered buying a new property as we just didn’t want to deal with any of the problems that can often occur in older, second hand properties, such as windows needing replacing, old electrics requiring updating and roofs in need of repair.
“We own and run a funeral directors in Wainscott which can be very stressful and we often have hard days; we wanted a haven to come home to each night where we could simply relax. We were thrilled when we discovered Liberty Park.
“We absolutely love our home and love living here. It really is a dream come true for us and has meant that all our hard work over the years has paid off.
“We bought a four-bedroom detached house which has plenty of space for us as well as our children and grandchildren when they visit. The whole top floor of the house is dedicated to the master bedroom, dressing area and en-suite bathroom so Lynne and I have superb privacy even when we have a full house.
“We have a lovely big garden and we’ve even built a pergola so it’s wonderful in the summer.”
Liberty Park is a collection of one and two-bedroom flats, two-bedroom coach houses and two, three and four-bedroom houses. Externally, properties blend traditional design features, such as weatherboarding and hanging tiles with dormer windows and varied roof elevations. Homes are situated on pretty tree-lined boulevards, surrounded by landscaped open space.
