Ebbsfleet United's skipper Paul McCarthy looks like the happiest man in Wembley as he celebrates the team's narrow victory over Torquay in the FA Trophy final.

But there were plenty of others sharing his delight. One was Chris McPhee who made himself a hero by scoring the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time.

He dedicated the goal to his sister who managed to get to Wembley to see her brother score despite suffering from severe mobility problems caused by ME.

Another was manager Liam Daish who said:“I thought we were always going to have a good day out ... but to then actually win it and lift a major trophy for a club like ours is unbelievable."

And then there was the majority of the 40,000-plus fans at Wembley, most of them overjoyed Ebbsfleet supporters,

They raised the roof at the new national stadium as Fleet lifted the trophy for the first time in the club's history.
