Up to another 17 prime sites in Thanet could be sold off by the local council.
It wants to get rid of the Maritime Museum in Ramsgate, the Margate Caves and the Montefiore Games Centre in Ramsgate.
The proposal could also spell the end of Retort House in Broadstairs and land at Port Ramsgate East, west of the Royal Harbour.
The council says its ongoing asset management plan will ensure the land and property it owns represents good value for money for tax payers. It claims the proceeds will be re-invested in new facilities.
Cllr Roger Latchford, cabinet member for economy and culture, said: “Where sites aren’t benefiting the whole community, we will bring them forward for possible disposal.
“We want to hear local people’s views on the sites being proposed. I hope this consultation will attract just as much interest and response as the one we carried out earlier this year.”
The council is hoping to build more homes on a number of the sites, although some could be given over to commercial use.
One idea is for a beach cafe, restaurant or holiday accommodation to be built at Viking Bay in Broadstairs.
Part of the Main Sands in Margate close to the lifeboat memorial could also make way for a new leisure development.
A public consultation will take place next month at Albion House, Albion Place, Ramsgate (Tuesday, November 11 from 4pm to 7pm), Margate Media Centre, King Street, Margate (Wednesday, November 12 from 4pm to 7pm) and Pierremont Hall, Pierremont Park, Broadstairs (Thursday, November 13 from 4pm to 7pm).
