Video: Dickens Museum at
Gads Hill Place

As part of the celebrations marking
the bicentenary of Charles Dickens, the desk where he wrote Great
Expectations is going on display in his former home.

Gads Hill Place in Higham is normally
used as a school but for four weeks this summer its ground floor
has been turned into a museum.

Tickets to tour the building where the
author spent his final years are still available although
around 700 have already been sold.

Other pieces of furniture and pictures
have also been returned for the first time since the
house and its contents were sold in 1870.
