The number of people unemployed in Kent has fallen by 898 - bucking the national trend.
The total number of jobseekers fell from 37,744 in February to 36,846 in March.
Nationally, the number of people out of work went up to 43,000 in the three months leading up to February this year.
It means 2.5 million are unemployed across the country, the highest figure since the three months to December 1994.
Medway saw the largest fall in unemployment with 150 less jobseekers.
Their total fell for the second month in a row, from 7,596 in February to 7,446.
Thanet saw the second largest fall, with 122 less people looking for jobs, totalling 4,360.
It is in stark contrast to a rise of 110 in February, the highest at that time in the county.
Canterbury's jobless total fell by 103, the third highest fall in Kent, from 2,610 to 2,507.
The fourth largest fall was in Maidstone, from 2,679 to 2,593, a fall of 86.
Ashford was the only area of the county which saw a modest rise in their unemployed figure. It increased by six from 2,060 to 2,066.
