The Rhino Cycle, Howletts, July 5

PEDAL to protect the endangered Rhino on Saturday July 5, 2003 for Howletts & Port Lympne. In 1960, there were 65, 000 black rhinos. Today there are fewer then 3,000.

You have the chance to meet 23 of them at Port Lympne Wild Animal park. Port Lympne is home to the largest captive heard of black Rhinos outside Africa and is host to the world's most successful captive breeding program.

Pedal to Protect is our campaign to help the continuation of vital work to save the Rhino. This year's funds will go towards building a new rhino breeding sanctuary at Howletts, due to open later this year, costing £3000, 000.

If you want to take part in this event you can register on line at www.howletts.net or telephone Miss Dee Robey on 01303 264647 for a registration form. There is also a prize for the highest fundraiser: a fantastic African safari for two courtesy of Endangered Wildlife Travels. So get on your bike.
