Gillingham right-back missed the back end of last season with the nasty hand injury and he's as keen as anyone to fight his way back into League 1.Fuller's left hand resembles something akin to the Terminator but it hasn't effected his pre-season.
"This is probably the fittest I've felt in my career so far," he said. "It's my third pre-season under the gaffer and I know what it's like to come in through June and July for three years in a row now. It's tough but it will benefit us through the season.
"I injured my hand at Millwall just four minutes into the game. I went up for a header and landed awkwardly. Now I've got four screws and a plate in my finger.
"They're getting better and the screws don't have to be taken out which is good because they're holding my hand in place!"
