Police have confirmed they are investigating allegations of theft from a business group that has gone bust.
Thames Gateway Chamber of Commerce, which provided services to around 350 firms in north Kent, ceased in January and is about to go into liquidation with debts of more than £100,000.
A Medway Police spokeswoman said: "We are investigating alleged theft at Thames Gateway Chamber of Commerce.
"There is an investigation ongoing, but no arrests have been made."
The demise of the group, based on Strood’s Medway City Estate, sparked criticism by former directors of the way its affairs were handled.
Former chief executive Tracey Manley, who left suddenly in October, has filed a claim with an employment tribunal, alleging unfair dismissal as well as sex and disability discrimination.
