Well done to all Times Guardian website visitors who spotted that our story about elaborate plans to build an animal park in Leysdown was an April Fool.

And to those who didn't - better luck next year.

Residents of Leysdown fear not - there is nothing in the pipeline involving snake-coloured bullet trains and glow-in-the-dark sheep.

Thanks to everyone who took our spoof in the spirit it was meant - a good old-fashioned April Fool's gag!
