TWO men smashed their way into a Kent supermarket and made off with a large quantity of tobacco.

The burglary took place shortly after midnight on Tuesday at a supermarket in Dymchurch Road, New Romney.

Police say two offenders used a stone or concrete to smash a window, causing £800 worth of damage, before stealing the tobacco from the cigarette kiosk.
