A MOTORCYCLIST is furious after thieves stole his three prized bikes in a raid on his garage. Paul Wheatley, 36, of Windmill Road, Gillingham, used the bikes to take his foster children on outings.
The bikes, worth a total of about £5,500, were stored at a garage in Walderslade. They were kept there after thieves stole two other bikes kept at his home.
Mr Wheatley is dismayed at the latest thefts, because the other two bikes were stolen from the garden of his home two years ago.
Mr Wheatley said: "I couldn't believe it when I discovered they had gone. I take the children out every Sunday on the bike for something good for them to do. The thieves just seem to have lifted up the bikes and put them straight into a van. The door was closed as though nothing had happened."
The motorbikes taken were a Honda XR600R worth about £3,500, a Honda CR250 worth about £1,300, and a Kawasaki KX100 worth about £700. The bikes were chained together in the garage, in Foresters Close. The chain alone cost about £200.
Anyone with information on the robbery should telephone Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
