The hunt is on for a gang of ram-raiders who stole thousands of
pounds worth of clothing from a shop in Headcorn High Street in the
early hours of the morning.

Police were called at around 3am on Tuesday by a resident who
had spotted a 4x4 vehicle being driven into the front of Lady
Mop.

Owner Tina Foreman, pictured above (centre) with partner Nigel
Carter and daughter Jess Foreman, was surveying the damage on
Tuesday morning.

According to unconfirmed reports, £30,000 worth of clothing was
taken from the shop, which is known for its high-end designer
women's wear.

A police spokesman said three men were seen during the raid. All
were wearing hooded tops.

The spokesman added: "The 4x4 is believed to be a dark-coloured,
old-style Jeep Cherokee.

"After the incident the vehicle was seen to drive away towards
Tenterden on the A274."

Police are currently at the scene and say they are studying CCTV
from the shop and the surrounding town.
