The county might be known as the Garden of England, but thousands of trees have been chopped down by Kent County Council.

More than 3,600 have been felled by the authority in the last three years, according to official figures, causing anger among campaigners.

They say trees vital to help control flooding and air quality and concerns have also been raised about the impact on wildlife, as Harry Peet reports.
