Three arrested after serious attack

Three men have been arrested following a serious assault in a Margate street.

Police were called to Surrey Road at around 11.30pm yesterday to reports that a man in his thirties had been attacked.

He is being treated at the QEQM Hospital in Margate, where his condition is described as "serious but stable".

A Kent Police spokesman said that three men, aged 16, 18 and 24, have been arrested in connection with the incident. All three are currently in custody at Margate police station.
