Three cut from car after smash with truck

Two air ambulances were called after three people got trapped in a car after a crash with a lorry.

The accident happened on the A28 at Godmersham at about 2.30pm Wednesday.

A rear seat passenger suffered suspected head injuries and he was taken to hospital by the helicopter. The other two injured people, another man and a woman, were taken by road ambulance.

Firefighters had to cut free the victims, whose injuries included neck and suspected spinal ones and lacerations.

The Surrey Air Ambulance had also been called to the scene but was not needed to take victims.
