THREE people were killed this afternoon when a van was in collision with a lorry on the eastbound carriageway of the M26 near the junction with the M20 at Wrotham.

The eastbound carriageway was shut while emergency services attended the scene.

None of the victims, who were all travelling in the van, have been named. The westbound carriageway was not affected. Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident.
