POLICE are appealing for witnesses after three Russian students were assaulted by three local yobs on rollerblades outside the Carlton cinema at Westgate, near Margate.

The three students were looking at posters in St Mildred’s Road when the three young thugs approached them and started insulting them before punching and kicking them. All three students sustained minor injuries.

One of the attackers is described as aged 15-16, white, 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He had short blond hair that was gelled and spikey, and wore light blue baggy trouisers and a dirty green sweater with a hood and a metal Nike logo on the breast. He also wore braces over yellow teeth.

The second youth is described as white, aged 15-16, 5ft 6ins in height, with short straight black hair gelled at the front. He wore a black Alize t-shirt with motif, and blue bottoms.

The third youth as white, aged 12-13, 5ft 2ins with short blond hair, and of slim build. He wore black shorts.

The attack happened on Wednesday at about 8.45pm. Anyone with information is asked to contact Thanet police on 01843 231055.
